The Arts and Entertainment Industry Celebrates Jesús López and His Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts

The arts and Entertainment industry, alongside Jesús López, celebrated the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts awarded to López in Madrid. Aitana, Alejo Stivel, Antonio Orozco, the Carmona Family, David Bisbal, David Bustamante, Israel Fernández, José Mercé, Joaquina, Juan Magán, Lola Indigo, Mala Rodríguez, Manuel Alejandro, Manuel Carrasco, Nacho Cano, Pablo López, Raphael Rosario, and Vanesa Martín were among the artists who celebrated with Jesús for his over 45 years in the music industry.

Jesús López, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Latin America & Iberian Peninsula, received the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts in Cádiz from the King and Queen of Spain. Starting at 18 years old distributing cassettes in Galicia, López has become one of the most important executives in the global music industry. He has shown perseverance, work capacity, innovation, and talent in his more than 45 years in the field.

López has worked with Spanish and Latin American artists, producing global hits like “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, “Mi Gente” by J Balvin and Willy William, “La Camisa Negra” by Juanes, “Bailando” by Enrique Iglesias and Gente de Zona, and “La Macarena” by Los Del Río.

The celebration in Madrid, led by Manuel Fuentes, featured performances by renowned artists singing versions of Jesús’ most emblematic songs. David Bisbal, Antonio Orozco, Joaquina, Lola Indigo, José Mercé, Pablo López, Mala Rodríguez, Israel Fernández, Rosario Flores, and Manuel Carrasco among others, offered unforgettable interpretations of classic hits.

International artists like J Balvin, Karol G, Sebastián Yatra, Juan Luis Guerra, and Los Tigres Del Norte also showed gratitude and support for Jesús López. The event ended with a medley of iconic songs, marking a memorable celebration of López’s remarkable career in the music industry.
