In Worcester, heavy snowfall led to the Worcester Red Sox canceling their game at Polar Park, marking it as their first official “snow out.” Along the coast, flooding from rain combined with coastal splash overs resulted in road closures and disrupted travel.

Strong winds caused tree damage and power outages along the coast, with gusts exceeding 60 mph in some areas. As the storm passes, Massachusetts and New Hampshire brace for lingering snow showers and chilly temperatures in the days to come.

Snow Continues and Weather Outlook

Snow showers are expected to persist in northeastern Massachusetts, with potential coatings on paved surfaces requiring extra attention. Winds will gradually ease off, bringing relief from the stormy conditions.

The forecast shows clouds and a chance of rain and snow showers on Friday and Saturday, followed by a transitional Sunday with some breaks of sunshine. Monday holds promise for clear skies, ideal for viewing the total solar eclipse across New England.
