Gunshot victims discovered in two Joliet, Illinois residences

Multiple people were found shot and killed in two different homes in Joliet on Monday afternoon, according to the Joliet police. At 3 p.m., detectives and officers launched a homicide investigation in connection with the incident in the 2200 block of West Acres Road. The location is in close proximity to Jefferson Street, Larkin Avenue, Ascension St. Joseph Hospital, and Joliet West High School.

The Joliet police are currently looking for Romeo Nance, who is believed to be driving a red Toyota Camry with the license plate Q730412. This vehicle was also involved in two shootings on Sunday, one of which resulted in a man’s death.

On Sunday at 4:27 p.m., the Will County Sheriff’s office responded to a call at the Pheasant Run Apartments in unincorporated Joliet Township, where they found a 28-year-old man from Nigeria with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Additionally, a 42-year-old man was shot in the leg on Davis Street in Joliet 10 minutes earlier. The Will County Sheriff’s office stated that these incidents appeared to be random, and the victims were not connected in any way. However, the same car associated with Nance was spotted at both scenes.

Nance is considered armed and dangerous, and the public is urged to contact the police immediately if he is spotted.
