Under the leadership of Michael Duffy, supervisor of athletics for Carroll County, the county has been ahead of the curve in developing girls wrestling programs at schools like Francis Scott Key, resulting in a deep talent pool going into the 2023 season. South Carroll wrestling, with a history of excellence including four state championships and a Class 1A state dual title, is also expected to continue its strong performance under coach Brian Hamper.
